SLEEPING
July 14, 2022

Are you one of the 76 million Americans that have trouble sleeping?

There are three different types of insomnia that people can suffer from.

Sleep onset insomnia is when you have difficulty falling asleep due to anxiety, alcohol consumption, caffeine intake or pain.

Sleep maintenance insomnia is when you wake up during the middle of the night and aren’t able to fall back asleep. This type of insomnia has been linked to chronic stress, anxiety, depression, sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, low blood sugar and pain.

Non-restorative sleep is when you wake up exhausted after sleeping through the night. Younger age, female gender, lifestyle habits, fibromyalgia, heartburn, restless leg syndrome and chronic fatigue syndrome have been linked to non-re-storative sleep.

Not getting enough sleep can lead to a long list of consequences such as weakened immune system, increase risk of diabetes, impaired decision making and reduced memory. It can also cause sore muscles, headaches, confusion and depression. To make matters worse, many issues can lead to unwanted side effects such as sleep walking, morning drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, dry eyes and nightmares.

If you are experiencing any of these side effects and/or are not getting the quality of sleep you deserve, come into Magnolia Pharmacy for a “It works the first night or it’s FREE!” solution.
